Fabric, Fabric and more Fabric!

Isn't it amazing how the more you try to accomplish tasks and get things cleaned up and in order, the more messy and unorganized they have to become first? This week in preparation for my family reunion, we have cleaned out the garage and the toy room. We bought shelves for the garage and also a new fridge/freezer for all of my produce and farm fresh goodies. Our nursery was doing a toy drive so that was an easy fix to march our donations over to a friend's house. Two rooms down, all of the rest to do. I did finish the 5 curtains that I had left to sew. Between all 5 I sewed roughly 32 1/2 yards or 97 1/2 ft. of fabric this week, plus trim. I feel a sense of accomplishment over that one. Now, I just have to get the rest of the house done this weekend. Those were the big ones, but the little dusting, vacuuming and laundry seem so much bigger and more daunting to me. Brady has been a little under the weather, so the curtains did not get hung today, but hopefully tomorrow and I will post pictures. I am so excited to see my family!
