Back to School
As you can see, the girls are ready to dive feet first into our new adventure. We all were a bit aprehensive the first day (ok, I was a hot mess), but we have officially made it through the "first" week of school (3 days) and the real first week of school. The girls are tired, but doing so well. Sarah's first grade teacher told me on meet the teacher night, "she will probably be behind, but we offer tutoring". I had just told her that we had homeschooled our children and that this was their first time going to public school. She then went on to say, "You do know this is an accelerated school right?". Are you allowed to punch your child's first grade teacher? We have since made peace and I will be the classroom parent this year. Bring it on! They are both doing brilliantly (even for homeschooled kids :)I couldn't be more pleased with the education they are recieving. Everything else I could do without, but Legacy Traditional got an excellent rating in Arizona this year.We are holding our heads high and marching on. Brady is still working for UOP and teaching at the community college. He will begin teaching on Monday; one online class and one Monday night classroom class. Our schedule is falling into place. I am having a hard time figuring out my new role in all of this. I really liked my old role. I also will continue to press on and figure out my new stage in life. Wish us luck!
